Cool Running Jerk Centre
Welcome to Cool Running Jerk Centre, a vibrant gem nestled at 44a Harrow Road in Wembley, where the heart and soul of Caribbean cuisine come alive. As a food reviewer and an enthusiast of flavorful dining experiences, I can confidently say that this establishment knows how to treat its guests to a culinary journey like no other.
The allure of Cool Running Jerk Centre lies in its authentic Jamaican dishes, where each meal is crafted using age-old recipes and fresh ingredients. Their jerk chicken is the star of the menu, available in several portions—medium, large, and small—allowing you to choose according to your hunger. Priced at £12.50 for a medium and £15.00 for a large half, this dish captures the essence of spices and smokiness, tantalizing every palate.
Beyond jerk chicken, the menu features a delectable array of options including curry goat and ackee and saltfish, both priced at £12.00 per portion. If you're in the mood for something different, the jerk lamb and callaloo offerings provide a unique twist to your meal. Each dish is served alongside your choice of rice—be it plain or rice and peas—ensuring a hearty and fulfilling experience.
- Meals: Highlights include the oxtail meal at £10.50, known for its rich flavors and tender meat, and the peppersteak, a true delight for steak lovers.
- Snacks: Don’t overlook the cheesy beef patties at just £2.50; they’re a must-try!
- Wraps: Options like the mixed wrap with chicken and lamb at £8.00 allow for a convenient and tasty grab-and-go option.
To complement your meal, indulge in one of the homemade punches—like the Guinness Punch or Irish Moss—each priced at £5.00. These beverages add a unique Caribbean flair and perfectly balance the spicy and savory flavors of the dishes.
What sets Cool Running Jerk Centre apart is not only their tantalizing menu but also the warm and friendly service. Many patrons have praised the staff for their helpfulness and genuine hospitality, enhancing the dining experience. As one satisfied customer, Tiffany Ng, noted, “the restaurant staff were lovely and very helpful in pointing out popular dishes.”
While no restaurant is without the occasional hiccup, the general sentiment resonates positively with most diners. Many appreciate the generous portion sizes and the freshness of the ingredients used, making Cool Running Jerk Centre a reliable choice for a delightful meal.

I’m convinced some of the people complaining staff are rude were the ones being rude to staff in the first place. Especially judging by the wording in some people’s reviews, big up the staff if they gave these rude people a little pepper in return️Always happy with my food & find the staff very friendly too. Portion size is good for the price, everything fresh and tasty, and good availability of dishes even later into the afternoon. I think they manage their kitchen very well. I consider this a reliable place and my preferred choice for Caribbean food in NW London and I hope it stays around for a long long time. There’s a little bell at the till if all staff are busy in the kitchen, just ring it - don’t think they’re ignoring you.

Came here to this take away on the way home for an event. Restaurant staff were lovely and very helpful in pointing out popular dishes. We came near closing so most things were sold out but we were able to order quite a selection. We had the large jerk chicken with rice and beans, the ox tail with rice and beans, Festival (sweet donut like fried bread), coleslaw, Mac and cheese, fried chicken with mild sauce (other options include bbq, moderate spicy). The smokiness of the jerk chicken was so delicious. Oxtail was fall off the bone. We also tried the pineapple punch which tasted like pins colada and the Guinness punch (acquired taste). Overall even the customers were so friendly and just made the atmosphere fitting for authentic Caribbean cuisine.Parking: Street parking is difficult

Other than that great food and great service.
